PLEASE GUIDE ME ..top points to whoever can help me?

Neither of us ever followed through on having a relationship with each other.It's complicated.We stayed pleasant to each other though.the other night he insults me to my eye,out of the blue in front of other people,saying how this other woman,(and honestly,she was just randomly brought up,could have been anyone)was way way better looking than me.Fool here says as he leaves that I did love him and he says to come to him and say that the next time I see him.Well I wanted to,but his comments stung.Get this,now he is angry with me.He says hello but aggressively.I don't know what is going on.He never said sorry for his remarks and I never confronted him about it.It's like he hates me and I really need advice on what to do.We both are stubborn and bad communicators.Was he telling me that he never really found me attractive anyway?Was he trying to get shut of me?Please help
