Your right. Why? Because New Yorkers are loyal fans who stick by their team even when they suck. So even if the Yankees were in third place, fans would still come to games. We don't give up on our teams. And not every New York team is great every year. The Knicks are one of the worst teams in the NBA, the Jets haven't won the Super Bowl in 40 years, the Islanders haven't won since the early 80's, and the Rangers, while successful, haven't won a championship since '94. But fans still come to all these teams games, because they love the team and don't give up on them.
