Fostering a child - would you do it if you knew it could only be temporary?

I am a single parent in the UK, african. I am from Zimbabwe and hope to go back in the next 7 years. I would like to foster a child and I know I could give him/her lots of love and support but it would only be for a couple of years or so till I leave the country. What would you do?
