I have an email buddy from a foreign country- for well over a year-he can be bigoted at times~?

I know that I can,t change his bigotry, but I find that when he makes these remarks, fortunately not that often, it makes me uncomfortable. I was brought up in a very liberal area, many different backgrounds. I,m not saying that I did,nt nor don,t notice particular traits that are generally more pronounced, in all groups of people. But It does,nt make me hate the whole group-as a matter of fact, as many comedians have proven, can be quite funny-as long as it,s not said as hate filled speech. My question is; how do I address this, without sounding as though I,m chastizing him? I just would like for him to curb his sending me mail with any of this. I realise that he,s looking for a rise, and I don,t want to give him any reason to think that I feel it,s ok. To ignore it? or address it? If the answer is to address this, what do you suggest?
