Horse mane and tail won't grow?

One of the horses I am concidering buying is perfect except one thing. Her mane and tail will not grow. Other horses, as strange as it sounds, tend to eat it. The current owner has had this horse separated from the others for over two years now, but its mane and tail have not grown a single inch. My question, is other than the horse wouldnt do that great in dressage, will it cause any problems? Like she has no tail to swat away mosquitos, so maybe she is more prone to West Nile? IBM PC/XT COLOR ISSUE?

I have a IBM PC/XT 5160 with a IBM CGA Card and a IBM CGA 5153 Monitor running DOS 3.3. When I boot to Windows 1.01 and certain games, it comes up in black and white. I've set it up when I installed it to run in color, but only certain programs use the color. And programs I know that use the color will only use B&W. Is there something I'm missing or haven't done? I am in the same boat as you (except my son is 19 months), but shows a lot of interest and will bring me diapers when he needs to be changed! I think the best thing would be to try it, and if he doesn't take to it, then simply wait til' he is older. I also bought my son an Elmo potty :) He really likes it! My husband has hurt me by watching online even though he knows I hated it. To be spiteful, I went searching for as well. It had become an addiction. Within the past few years friends/family have teased me about "getting checked out for ADD".Yes,it's jokingly,but after a while you wonder.I've taken several online "questionaires" regarding ADD and each one said strong liklihood of ADD but no hyperactivity.I went to my doctor to talk about this and throughout the whole conversation he kept saying ADHD as if there were no difference between the 2.He said I would have had problems with hyperactivity as a child.Based on my research this isn't true with ADD.I've had these miserable symptoms for about 6 or 7 years now,but some of them for as far back as I can remember.Can't sit through tv shows but can watch a movie with no commercials,severe procrastination,never finish any tasks,bounce from one project or activity to another before finishing it,impulsive, etc. It's frustrating because about a year ago I started my own business after being a 10 year stay at home mom. Is this kind of birthmark weird?

I have these nasty birthmarks or moles that I want to get rid of. I have this birthmark on my neck and its not like huge, but its quite noticeable. And its nasty too, its not flat, it sticks out a lot, its basically looks like a little brown meat ball attached to a small thread of skin on my neck. I have a similar one about an inch above my belly on, but this one is more attached to my skin and not visible until I take off my shirt. Are these normal, because I have seen my mom have a similar birthmark on her neck. I do not think my birthmark is a cancerous tumor, I think its heredity or something. But I am self conscience of my stuck-out birthmarks and wondering if its safe to remove them.

Most of the people in my family (including me) have naturally curly hair. Depending on your curl, sometimes the only way to really control it is to keep it really short (I know that's not what you want to do). You could always do it yourself tho - with clippers, to keep cost down. You might try products that have "wax" in the title - they're usually a little stronger. And definitely try to keep just enough length so you can make it spikey without giving way to the waviness (although then you're still going to get into a frequent cutting situation again). Not sure what stores you have at the mall but a place like Regis, Trade Secret, or maybe even mastercuts or supercuts should have some reasonable product options. Just tell the person working there what you're trying to do. Naturally curly hair is both a blessing and a curse I think :-)

My baby has severe colic and was prescribed Levsin Drops, Has anyone used these?

My daughter has a pretty serious case of colic, and to top it off she actually has a molar coming in and she's only 7 and a half weeks old! I couldn't believe it. Needless to say she's been feeling pretty miserable lately. She will only sleep when she's being held or put in her swing or car seat, and will only relax when she's given tylenol or is being bounced in my arms or on my knee. So as a result I have slept 15 minutes to 3 hours a night for the last 3 weeks. With a few all nighters in between. I honestly don't know how I'm functioning right now, I'm just so run down. I've tried everything to help her sleep and stop crying. Swaddling, shushing, warm baths, Mylicon, The Happiest Baby On The Block, you name it and I've probably tried it. Her pediatrician prescribed an antispasmodic (Levsin Drops) to help her relax and sleep, but I've been doing some reading online and I'm feeling a little hesitant to give her Belladonna because the possible side effects seem so serious. I'm tempted to just try and survive the next few weeks on my own but I was wondering if anyone on Y!A had tried Levsin and what there experience was. If you've tried them did they work? Did your baby have any side effects? Would you recommend them? Thanks!

5-6/10 is too high to be walking without crutches, & are you taking pn meds of any sort;; HERE'S THE KEY;; a lot of doc's will say "you can get rid of the crutches" but you really need to be progressive so you don't reinjure yourself;; you're bone is still healing for a couple more weeks still... so anyhow, get the crutches back into your routine;; weight-bearing on your leg really has nothing to do with your leg but everything to do with your hands & how much you push on the grips of the crutch;; your leg itself should "move" like a normal leg, ankle included (dependent on the level of fusion), but each day + a little more weight into your leg by taking a LITTLE more pressure off your "push" into the grips of the crutches;; you'll soon find you can walk on the leg without a lot of pain;;; some things that change your pain level are walking too much further than the leg is capable of doing, how you take or don't take your pain meds, how much weight you are putting thru the ankle, how coinsistant/inconsistant you are about delivering that weight;; much easier to show you;; see a physical therapist, you need one to rehab the ankle anyway

I think you are legally right, but you might want to think about what it does for the friendship, as should she. First of all, there's no reason for anyone's mommy to get involved, so that's not boding well for the situation. Second, she should have given you the money or bought you a new one without the subject of her DVD and the whole collateral thing coming up, that's just the right thing to do. I have to wonder about one mother, much less two of them who get mad at the person who lost her DVD, but don't urge the one who broke it to do the right thing and replace it. The fact of the matter is, you do have the right to keep her DVD until she replaces yours, but real friends shouldn't have to get to this point in the first place because there should be trust and the desire to do right by each other in the first place. I have two beagle mixes, so, they naturally want to smell EVERYTHING on walks. With my one year old mix, I am able to just say, "Let's go" and she will immediately move on. I didn't specifically train her to do this, she just does... I'm surprised and happy that she does because many beagles ears turn off when they catch a scent. Well, let's start with the problem of 7 (seven) tribute monsters. That's a bad thing. Take out Hade-hane, summoned skull, the Evil hero, Draconic knight and mist archfiend, and replace them all with a monarch or Jinzo, but preferably a monarch. I'd hate to say it, but this deck kinda sucks in general. You need to remove one MST and raigeki break, put in at least 1 tuner monster and grab a corresponding synchro. Princess of tsurugi needs to be taken out and replaced with gene-warped warwolf. The rest are okay, but don't expect to win too many tournaments. My friend, short of completely re-making you a deck, this is the best I can do for you, so good luck, and happy dueling! ^_^

My son has a huge blister inside his lip?

My son has a huge blister on the inside of his lip,it looks like a canker but his lip is swollen.Looks like he has a fat lip.He has had other ones before but never big,always small.He has allergies and his nose is plugged so he sleeps with his mouth open.Could that be the cause? I just got the new D&D Essentials, and you start of with 300 gold pieces. That is fine and dandy, but so far I don't see anything to buy with said gold, I and read through the quests in the red box. I , myself, have had an experience with the spirit of a dog while walking down an alley one early evening. It caught me totally off guard as that was the last thing I was expecting to run in to but that's what I seemed to of encountered. I had my hand down to my side and from out of nowhere I felt the wet snout of a dog come up and put it in my right hand. It was like it wanted attention and wanted me to pet it. I immediately reacted as I knew what it was. Ive had dogs before and they can be hyper and affectionate like that. When I looked and reached down I even caught myself saying aloud "Hey Puppy"....but when I looked where the dog should of been , it was not there. I was so confuesed. I did a 360 and looked all around for it but cold not see or find a dog anywhere around. I was thinking how odd this was and it made no sense. It was still light out so I could see everything around. I could of not gotten away from me that fast. I stood there for a moment confused and considered that I could of just experienced a ghost. Just then , I heard a dog howl off in the neighborhood. My hairs stood on end. After the dog that was howling stoped , every dog in every backyard around me started barking. I started walking just then... Can I write off a loss on an investment in a company that is still going through bankruptcy?

Here's the situation: I had purchased uninsured CDs/Notes in ABFS (American Business Financial Services) they are still going through bankruptcy proceedings (they declared bankruptcy in 2005). I expect to receive pennies on the dollar when it comes time for a settlement. Can I write any/all of my investment off now, and then declare any settlement money as new income, or do I need to wait until the bankruptcy is settled, and I'll know exactly what my investment is now worth and how much I lost?

George Mason is a decent school with a reputation that gets better every year. Many of its students commute to cl, so it doesn't have the social life that a school like UConn would have. However, going to George Mason as an undergrad is no guarantee that you'll be able to attend their med school, just like graduating from UConn is no guarantee that you'll be able to get into UConn's med school. Going to UConn and living on campus will still be about $7,000/year cheaper than going to George Mason and commuting, plus you'll probably have a better campus experience. You can always go out of state for med school.

I am on the pill about 5 years the Dianette pill which i know is a very strong pill, for the past 5 months i have been bleeding after , sometimes its only very small but last week when i had there was more blood than usual although i did take two pills that day because i missed my pill but even when i take my pills normal i bleed, i dont have bleeding any other time just after and then ten minutes later its gone, ive tried vaseline so its not lubrication and me and my partner do have deep penentrative but we always have for the past 2 years so i cant see why that is the priblem, ive have urine test for stds and just a quick cervical swab, also i had smear test that was clear about 8 months ago, im 19 years old, could my pill be doing this, or causing cervical erosion because ive been on it so long?

As a Libertarian Republican I oppose it but am willing to turn my head and make it the very lowest priority to end-and if it can be kept at state or local level it can stay if the state or local community wants it. I was involved in a research study where they took my blood count periodicly through the year. Each time my neutrophil count (part of white blood cells) got lower and lower. He said he hadnt ever seen someone that appears healthy with that low of a count. The dr was amazed that I didnt have reoccuring/unresolved infections and mouth ulcers. He was very concerned and said I should see a hemotologist and get a bone marrow biopsy. Like everybody said, just let it dry. Those circuit boards are gummed up pretty good so there's really no worry of phone damage unless it's in deeper water with more substantial pressure. It should dry out just fine and all you'll need to do is buy a new battery since the water shorted out the last one, but these days it's almost cheaper to extend your contract and get a new phone than to buy a new battery lol.

How do I create lists of unique values for multiple columns in Excel for large datasets?

I have multiple columns, and I need to extract unique values for each column separately. Pivot table seems to be the fastest for large datasets, but I have to do one column at a time. Macro code does it for me, but it is very slow. Advanced filter also does it one column at a time, and is more bersome than pivot table. If I can use the unique fields function from pivot table into macro, it would be a lot faster. Any ideas?

Dog Medical Donations, Please Help!?

Please Help!! My mother has a one year old "Pure Bred" Rottweiler that needs two hip replacements. Obviously, my mother was told by the breeder that the dog would be healthy and free from medical issues. Having three other Rotties before, my Mother was weary but trusted this breeder's words. Recently, my mother's dog also tore her ACL and is need of immediate surgery to fix her hips and ACL. The surgeries are estimated to be between 2,000.00 to 5,000.00 which my family cannot afford to pay. My question is are there any agencies or organizations that will help people to pay for surgeries? Other than attempting to find a local rescue agency, I am trying to find help for my Mom. The vet suggested putting the dog down as an option other than having the corrective surgeries, but this dog is a part of our family and it would completely devastate my family. your mare shouldn't be out with a stallion unless you're trying to breed them. if you dont want a foal, you need to separate them. if you are trying to breed them, she should not be in a blanket. the stallion could get caught up in something when he mounts her and that could easily become a disaster for both of them.

IT: Server encryption technology / prevent unauthorized file distribution?

So I work for an IT firm that's expanding and wishes to cover server encryption security. Our problem is that we do not want company users copying and/or emailing encrypted files. The thing is if a user works for the company, they have the ability to decrypt and access the files, but we do not want them to distribute any of the files unencrypted. Is it possible that any files moved off the company computers, either by usb or email, will become unreadable or encrypted?

How serious is a MRSA staph infection?

I've heard that it's caused more deaths recently than AIDS! It seems like healthy people are dying all over the country. I have MRSA in my bloodstream. I'll get a pimple or a boil and it'll get really infected. I've had about a dozen infections in the past year but haven't had to be hospitalized yet because I haven't had a fever. My most recent infection was in my knee and it spread throughout my leg and it swelled up like three times the size of my other leg! Steroids took care of the swelling. I take Septra but it doesn't seem to help work because the MRSA is still in me. I pick at my sores (it's part of my OCD) and I've tried to stop because it makes it so much worse. How much of a risk do I have of this getting into like my lungs or brain or somewhere serious? I'm 34 and am in moderate health otherwise. Also, am I at risk of spreading this airborne? And if you know, how rampant is MRSA right now, are they blowing it out of proportion? Thanks.
